Nominations are now being accepted for the 2016 Jeanne M. Priester Award

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2016 Jeanne M. Priester Award. The awards will be presented at the 2016 National Health Outreach Conference Priester Award Luncheon, April 8, 2016 in Roanoke, Virginia. The due date for nomination materials is December 11, 2015. Award winners will be notified by January 14, 2016. It is expected that award winners (or at least one representative from team) will be present at the conference to receive their award. 

Purpose
The Jeanne M. Priester Award honors the accomplishments and contributions of Jeanne M. Priester to the Cooperative Extension System.  Ms. Priester was a leader in advancing health education within the Cooperative Extension Service during her tenure at the United States Department of Agriculture.  The purpose of the award is to honor Extension programs and professionals that positively impact the health and wellness of people across the United States and provide leadership to expand Extension’s capacity to increase the number of Americans who are healthy at every stage of life. The Priester Award will recognize sound and innovative health and wellness programs at the county, state and national level.
