Diversity is apparent when you look at the sessions. There are sessions devoted to reaching the faith community - "Faith Communities Alive!" Promotes Health within Faith-based Settings -- to a presentation acknowledging the differences in culture when educating about diabetes -  Adapting for Cultural Relevance: Diabetes Prevention Program.

Policy Level issues are a component of NHOC. A session entitled Conducting Cost Effective Analyses of Health Education Programs for Policy is one. Collaboration with WSU Extension and Nursing to Address Farmworker Health is another.




Collaborative presentations are numerous due to collaborations being a goal of the 2016 NHOC. Beginning with Building Partnerships to Extend Program Outreach and ending with Overview of Let’s Move Childcare the spirit of collaboration is present from the first day to the last.
